Schiedel Rite Vent required to increase their warehouse space at their site on Crowther Industrial Estate, Washington. To do this they were looking to utilise a temporary warehouse facility in which a new concrete floor and foundations is constructed and a simple portal frame with textile sheeting installed.

CK21 were commissioned for the design of the 26m by 100m floor slab, foundations and dock leveller retaining walls, and all external works. This included the provision of external reinforced concrete hard standing areas with associated drainage. The foundations to the structure were incorporated in a ring beam resting on a mass concrete foundation taken down to the natural clay sub-grade
