Inspiring the next generation of engineers

Our Structural director Jonathan Hays had a great morning at Westmoor Primary School helping with this terms Key Stage 1 project on bridges.

He spent some time talking about different types of bridges, the materials used to construct them and how the different types of bridges work. This was followed by a very enthusiastic question and answer session where the children asked some very challenging questions. After that grilling there was a class exercise where the children spent some time experimenting with different materials themselves. What was so encouraging was the development of some really good ideas, with the children showing excellent creativity and bridge building skills.

The future is bright!
